Austin-Healey Sprites have been loved and enjoyed since their inception in 1958 with the Sprite Mk 1, also known as the ‘Frogeye’ Sprite.  With their light-weight construction and zippy engines they proved the perfect mix in the 1960's.  After the initial success of the Mk 1, Austin-Healey released their second incarnation, the Sprite Mk 2, in 1961.  It came with the same popular 948cc engine but with larger twin 1¼ inch SU carburettors and a close-ratio gearbox and there were a few more concessions to practicality such as a conventional boot and standard headlights in the wings.

The car we offer here must surely be one of the best in the world.  It has been the subject of the most comprehensive restoration we have ever seen on a Sprite and it is in show winning condition.

Classic Restorations Ltd, stripped the car and completely rebuilt it over a period of 3 years and at a cost of over £34,000!  Every conceivable component has been gone through including the engine, gearbox, bodywork, paint, wheels, axles, glass, brightwork and interior. The engine was fully rebuilt and balanced as was the gearbox.

Since this work it has been well looked after and has covered under 500 miles.  It comes with the original handbook, V5C, MOT, tax and bills showing the restoration costs and details.

Interested parties should most certainly come and see the car as it is hard to explain such excellent condition.
