Introduced in 1971, the Corniche was to be the convertible made by Rolls-Royce to succeed the then dated Silver Shadow convertible, and came with an array of modern equipment to suit its commanding image, such as anti-lock brakes, hydraulic self-levelling suspension and disc brakes all-round. Designed by established London coachbuilder Mulliner Park Ward, the model was entirely hand-built, with two months spent creating each convertible top.

European markets received the Corniche II in 1988, much-updated with a revised interior, newly designed seats and revised instrumentation. Mechanical upgrades came in the form of an aluminium radiator, a new design of wheel and the addition of an oil cooler.

Presented in crème with a matching interior and hood, this 1988 car originally delivered by H.R. Owen has just 35,000 miles and is in completely original condition down to the original lambswool rugs. The car has been well cared for by its 5 owners, and is the recipient of a recent Service ‘B’ at H.R. Owen Bentley Cheltenham.

With a complete service history and complete originality, this is a prime example of a flagship Rolls-Royce cabriolet is a consummate cruiser and wants for nothing.
