Delivered new to New York and finished in Cream with a Black interior, this XK140 was enjoyed for many years, although the history is unknown, until it was imported around 20 years ago, and intended to be used on track events and tours by Ian Dunken. The Jaguar was immediately sent to Jaguar experts Twyford Moors for a restoration and race preparation. It was decided to increase the engine displacement from 3.4 litre twin carburetted engine and replaced by a tuned 3.8 litre engine on triple SU carburetors.  It was also chosen to convert the Jaguar from left to right drive, configuration and repaint it red, making sure the Jaguar was both cosmetically and mechanically superb in every way.

The Jaguar was later sold to Twyford Moors and Ian Mills raced it for another two seasons. In 2005 the Jaguar traded hands to Jerry Stamper who then meticulously maintained and enjoyed the Jaguar for 12 years, sending the XK140 to Jaguar experts CKL Developments. The history file shows extensive mechanical upkeep, evidently regardless of cost, to ensure this was an exceptional example in every way. In 2014, with a need to improve some cosmetics, including a repaint, it was decided to have CKL Developments give the car a mechanical overhaul and rebuild the engine and gearbox.

Having recently been traded towards another car in our inventory, this Jaguar comes to market ready for its next enthusiast owner. It should be noted that despite being prepared for racing/rally tours, such as the Tour Auto, Tour Espana and Tour Britannia, the roll over hoop is detachable and the steering wheel can easily be changed for a wooden type, to allow this wonderfully enjoyable Jaguar to be taken to more hobby style Jaguar and British concours style events. This is a fabulous and sporting example of the XK140 Roadster that is ready for immediate use and enjoyment.
